Welcome to the PYP website
The drop-in is open four nights a week, Monday,Tuesday & Thursday, from 7pm to 8:30pm. Any young people who are in primary 7 or older from the Tynewater area are welcome. We meet in the day room at the front of Pathhead Community Hall, with around 12 to 30 young people attending every night.
The drop has computers attached to the internet, psp games, snooker and other supervised activities are arranged regularly. These include Halloween and Christmas parties, discos, a talent show and trips out.
We organise various trips and activities including the summer programme of sailing, kayaking, trampolining, swimming, skating, climbing and go-karting. These activities are enjoyed by children and young people from the Tynewater area.
Who are we?
In 2004 a group of young people and volunteers set up the Pathhead Youth Project. We have funding from Leader Plus, The Church of Scotland Development Fund Looyds TSB,Cranstoun Church and the National Lottery.
Jackie McNairn is our youth worker runs the project with support from a management committee and a group of volunteers.
The PYP reputation continues to grow with the young people organising community and charity events for all people living in and around Pathhead.
